CNC acetate die-cutting is a way to cut acetate material with extreme precision. Using highly advanced computer software, a cutter can follow a design and cut the material with great accuracy. This method is very efficient and produces little waste.

It also means that Radnor can deliver any design you can imagine. So, whether you have a specific design in mind or want to work with our team of designers to create something unique, we can make it happen.

Once the design and technical drawings have been approved, the manufacturing process can begin.

First, we cut the acetate blocks into accurate sizes before they go into the CNC die cutters. Accuracy is critical at this stage as even the slightest error can cause issues further down the line.

Once the acetate is cut to size, it's time for the CNC die cutter to do its job. That means creating a steel die that is then mounted on a blanking machine, which punches frame fronts out of the acetate that has already been cut down to the appropriate size.

Even the nose pad is carefully constructed to reduce our environmental footprint, while still producing a high-quality product. Instead of using glue to manufacture the nose pad, Radnor employs high temperatures to melt the material together. This method is not only more environmentally friendly, but it also results in a stronger and more durable nose pad.
